The above project consisted of the application of approximately 400 sheets of gold leaf in various shades, and then painting in all colors including air brushed highlights. The project required 60 hours of work and was performed for Premier Parks Art Department of Oklahoma City, OK. PPI owns and operates Frontier City and all of the Six Flags Parks. This carousel horse is a hand carved reproduction of the 1909 M.C. Illions horse pictured to the left. The carver of the reproduction, Tim Roberts, is shown in the picture (left). |
